Liqueurs & Fortified

The Liqueurs are made in the style of Vintage Ports – very ripe grapes are harvested and partly fermented, then a high strength alcoholic spirit is added to stop the fermentation and fortify wine, which then bottled soon after.  For Vintage Ports, brandy spirit is used, but for our two Liqueurs, we use a neutral grape spirit, so the resulting wines have a different character.
